*Introduce yourself in your email and list relevant credits. Include your real name(s) and address(s), as well as the pseudonym (if any) you would like to be published under. Send to submissions@phrixion-publishing.com. Make sure you put the intended project in the subject line.
*Be patient for a response. We will get to everyone in due course, even if to say that your work isn't what we're looking for at present. We will go into greater detail with those we might be able to refocus to meet our needs.
Subject Matter
*ALL submissions must have a male lead, and a male romance or sexual relationship of some sort must be prominent if not dominant to the story. You have a better chance of acceptance if the relationship is the focus of the work.
*We DO accept stories and artwork based on anthropomorphic characters, provided they are set into a human environment. No feral stories, please.
*No sexual situations involving characters under the age of 16 (shota). Schoolboy stories have a low chance of acceptance unless very VERY original.
*We accept 'Mature Readers' and 'Adult Only/XXX' projects; no 'Young Adult' submissions will be accepted.
Submissions Nitty Gritty
*Do not send images or stories based on others' copywritten material unless it is a Phrixion franchise (TCR characters, for instance). In other words, no fan art and fan fics.
*No reprints, please.
*Do not send links to download materials or samples. Your work must be actually posted for us to see.
*Do not send attachments to emails unless requested.
*Please label your stories with what we should expect to see, such as 'hardcore bondage, anthro, blood & gore' so that we can deal with the material appropriately.
*All stories and artwork published in our zines are subject to reprint in collected works or special projects, and the artist or writer will be reimbursed through royalties and hardcopies.
*Please read the submission guidelines for particular projects and/or columns carefully and format your work accordingly to avoid disqualification. Please mark on the title of your submission what project or column it is intended for so that we don't have to try to puzzle it out. Links to these can be found at the bottom of the page.
Writers
Queries always open. Send a short synopsis of your story and a teaser so we can check out your style. Synopsis must cover the entire story from beginning to end.
If it will be a sequential story (published by the chapter in one of our zines or forums), we will ask for the entire work before accepting it. We can't have a storyline simply dissolving mid-publishing. We are not yet accepting novel-length stories for publishing individually. Materials should be geared toward one of our areas of focus/franchise worlds: TCR, dark yaoi (gothic, horror, etc), the Beaucats, etc.
Short stories should be approximately 250-1500 words (1-6 pages). Accepted formats are Microsoft Word and .txt. Please don't make me beat on you by not using spellcheck and basic grammar and punctuation. Chances are I'll quit reading it and send you a rejection notice.
Artists
Queries always open. Please include 5 links to relevant artwork only, not a general gallery--that is welcome as a separate notation to peruse if the portfolio piques our interest. Cover art is printed in full colour; interior works will be black and white, and must be clean and easily reproducible. Covers must be 8.5x11" or scale for best chance at acceptance. Odd sizes accepted for interior art.
Special projects may require particular formats, so please take note when submitting.
Actual submissions for printing should be scanned at 300-600dpi, high resolution jpg, png, or psd.
Payment
All contributors will be paid royalties quarterly or bi-annually depending on the project. Some projects are for trade of goods or store credit only. Please read the project submission information thoroughly before submitting so you are clear on this matter.
Contest entries may be published without payment, but the winner will receive allotted prize promptly upon contest close.
Guidelines for Specific Projects and Columns
TCR Zine Guidelines
General Info: All materials submitted must be related to TCR's setting and characters. Original characters in the established TCR setting or city of Lupercalia will be considered. Currently, payment will consist of a copy of the zine in which your contribution appears; regular contributors will be given royalties as well, as negotiated. Other payment listed below. We accept short stories, column submissions, artwork and vignettes specific to the following...
"Tip Jar/Suggestion Box"--letters to the editor or even to the characters. Feel free to write a fan letter to the performers. We'll try to have them respond back. ^^ (no payment for letters)
"VIP Room"--short stories/vignettes of random encounters or performances at the club, meant to titillate. Can be as graphic as you like. 250-750 words preferred (1-3 pages).
"Feature Act"--centerfold artwork with stats, as in typical nude magazines. Artwork should be scalable from 11x14" and currently black and white only. Colour image crops may be considered for the cover as well. Stats blurb should be no more than 250 words. Character(s) should be original and be a performer(s) in the adult field in some manner.
"Applicants"--to be considered, black and white artwork should be made to look like a photo/Polaroid, and should be accompanied by a brief bio
and the position being applied for. Make it juicy, folks!
"Shooter Boi"--chosen from contest entries for our upcoming TCR bar recipes book. Entries should consist of a black and white drawing of a suitable character (name them if established/TCR fan art) somehow involved with drinks or bar-type recipes. Please include a suitable recipe to accompany your entry--preferably with a sexy name. We will be choosing winners to be included in our bar recipe book, and these will be sent a copy of the book and an additional merchandise prize, tba.
"Phrix's Hard Lemonade"--Fan fics and pix centering on the established TCR characters. 250-1500 words for writing, black and white artwork up to 8.5x11" This may become a collection yearly if we receive enough submissions, formatted into a separate book. Payment will be made separatedly if your submission is chosen for both the zine and the book.
Cover Art--full colour preferred, 8.5x11", submitted in high res .jpg, .png, or .psd format, scanned in 300-600 dpi. Should depict a general TCR scene in a dynamic way, illustrate a particular character, or follow an announced theme. All media accepted, including photography and photos of your own sculpture.

Contests:
"Shooter Boi" is the name of our upcoming TCR bar recipes book, being published to help raise funds to get the company launched! It will include risque-sounding recipes for drinks, desserts, and related goodies, perhaps some drinking games. Naturally, since TCR has such a handsome crew, this will be fully illustrated with black and white drawings inside and a colour cover.
